  We aim to promote the rise of a new generation in Finnish classic sailing. We especially encourage sailors under the age of 30 — or those aspiring to become sailors — to get involved and join the classic classes. When positions become available on our own boats, we welcome new faces to the team. During the summer season, we also organize occasional introductory events for newcomers. These are announced through our own communications and via the social media channels of the 5mR class.

  ÅBSS focuses on maintaining and racing classic boats originally built at the Åbo Båtvarf shipyard. The 5mRs Barbro, Lina, Marianne, and Marina, the 6mRs Lillevi and Merenneito II, and the 8mR Sphinx represent ÅBSS in both national and international classic regattas.
